Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Data Coordinator in our Marketing department, reporting directly to the Marketing Technology Manager.
The position is remote and can reside in the Dallas, Houston, Irvine, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Francisco or Washington, DC office and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all data in the firm’s client relationship management (CRM) database, InterAction.
The hours for this position would be 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the East Coast; 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Texas and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in California.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Work closely with the Marketing Technology Manager oversee data quality cleanup work completed by the team and external venders
- Complete special projects to improve the data integrity of specific marketing lists and contact types, including data imports, data cleansing and reporting
- Educate and support CRM users and act as a CRM subject matter expert
- Assist Marketing Technology Manager with development of training materials and guides to increase adoption of CRM
- Ensure ongoing data and list quality through analysis, validation to normalization standards and edits where required
- Support the marketing, business development, and secretarial teams by troubleshooting any questions regarding the CRM database
- Help develop, implement and promote CRM best practices
- Work closely with IT to test and implement product updates and enhancements and be the liaison between IT and Marketing
- Assist with user management
- Conduct Internet research to find missing pieces of information and to verify data.
- Research contacts and companies via Internet to update profile information such as business addresses, email, job title, etc.
- Manage and complete incoming data change tickets requiring updates to existing contacts and companies
- Conduct ongoing database cleanup and maintenance regarding bounced contacts and merging duplicates
- Support the activities sponsored by the Marketing Managers and Business Developers as the point person for all mailings and list generation (i.e. events, alerts and announcements)
- Work closely with Marketing Technology and Business Development Managers to identify appropriate analytics and reporting for regular follow-up
- Accept and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 3-5 years’ experience working with a CRM database
- Experience with InterAction CRM is desirable
- Law firm or professional services experience is a plus
- Possesses a strong customer focus and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside of the firm
- Ability to work independently and with colleagues located in different offices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work, coupled with the ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and requests, providing a solutions-oriented approach to ensure user satisfaction
