The Volunteer Engagement Manager focuses on increasing the engagement level of AMADC members, while helping to deliver on the goals of the chapter. The position is part of the Membership Team, and works with each board member to determine staffing needs and recruits members to fill such positions. AMADC values its members and wants to fill a position that creates the most fulfilling experience within our community.
The Volunteer Engagement Manager is primarily responsible for managing AMADC’s volunteer program. Specific responsibilities include:
Creating an orientation program for volunteers to help position them for success.
Delivering a positive onboarding experience for volunteers.
Regularly tracking volunteers and keeping the volunteer roster up-to-date.
Developing a recognition program for volunteers.
Attending AMADC events in order to network and make connections with potential members/members in order to best fill volunteer positions.
Communicating effectively and efficiently with board members in order to understand their position requirements and to keep them up-to-date with status of volunteer program.
Skills for Success:
Some recruitment and/or human resources experience is preferred but not required.
Passionate about strengthening the AMADC community.
Excited about making new connections and implementing them into the recruitment process.
Building relationships with members and prioritizing their career goals.
Ability to work amongst a team of fast-paced and experienced marketers.
Must be a member of the American Marketing Association to be eligible.
