The Communications and Events Coordinator will support the Marketing & Communications division at ISEP in achieving strategic goals. This role is important to the success of fulfilling the objectives related to communications, event management and alumni relations.
External: ISEP members and alumni, event vendors, event content contributors including facilitators/ speakers, sponsors and donors.
Internal: Communications and Marketing, Member Relations, Enrollment Management and Alumni Relations
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications (60% of time) – Coordinate regular and unique communications to members and external audiences by managing communication with membership, daily industry interaction on social media, and all ISEP Event related communications.
Execute annual editorial calendar and manage contact information for mass email communications with members, alumni and other external audiences from messaging systems like MailChimp, Wild Apricot and other communication tools including ISEP-L member listserv and social media
Collaborate across departments to collect content and edit under the supervision of the Director of Communications to create and deploy messages for all key audiences, leveraging mediums and formats that fit the message and connect with the audience by leveraging traditional and social media
Track and report international education industry thought leadership, news research and publications across to inform ISEP’s media engagement and promotion within the industry
Plan and promotion of key themes and messages across email and social media related to issues and engaged thought leaders
Participate in the drafting or editing of press releases and other materials aimed externally
Event Management (30% of time)– Lead event planning research and day-of management for ISEP Events. Working with internal teams and external vendors while managing to budget for ISEP staff, Board of Directors, Council of Advisors and all other ISEP Events at industry conferences and elsewhere.
Directly support industry conference participation across teams and regions
Administration support for local scholarship panels and alumni events
Research, selection and remote management of international events
Support in fundraising for ISEP Events
Schedule and manage the calendar of content for sequential programming within events
Manage the selection of vendors, coordinate contracts and budgets for signature
Set up and coordinate registration and RSVPs, content from internal and external speakers, logistics for collateral and materials
Manage events with the anticipation of logistical issues and create contingency plans
Coordinate needs and supplies for meetings. Including, but not limited to ordering, packing, etc.
Assist with sponsorship deliverables
Act as main point of contact for event inquiries and registrations through phone and email.
Maintain historical tracking documents for all events
Plan measurement and evaluation of events for reporting that will inform strategy of future events
OTHER RECURRING DUTIES
Customer Service (10% of time)– Provide excellent customer service throughout correspondence with institutions, students, alumni and parents.
Welcome visitors to the ISEP Global Office and events
Manage the general email inquiry box on a daily basis triaging emails to the correct team members
Provide excellent customer service through all interactions including telephone inquiries
Bachelor’s degree and 1 – 3 years’ work experience relating to the key job responsibilities in communications, event planning and project management.
Superior organizational skills including advanced planning, attention to detail and customer service.
Passion for international education and the ISEP mission of access and affordability in global education.

Previous experience studying, living, interning or working in another country
