The Email Designer/Producer is a key member of the Digital Marketing team at Thornburg Investment Management. He/She is responsible for the company’s email, mobile app and website marketing efforts with the goal of constantly improving their end-to-end ‘Impression-to-Lead Conversion’ KPI performance in driving Demand Generation growth. Email is a very important channel at Thornburg, allowing us to directly engage with our customer segments throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will have the winning mix of creative energy; experience successfully driving engagement through email campaigns, mobile apps and landing pages; adept at hands-on technical execution; an analytical mindset; and being extremely detail-oriented.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand business goals and requirements for all email, mobile app and website projects. Assist in monthly planning, creating detailed project work-back schedules, communicating project needs and gaining consensus among cross-functional teams
Design, Program, Track and Report performance of all marketing emails, mobile apps and associated landing pages, registration and lead forms
Leverage best practices and techniques such as responsive design. Ensure code renders correctly across all email clients and troubleshoot as needed
Work directly in our Marketing Automation platform (Pardot), establish campaigns in our CRM (Salesforce), develop landing pages and forms using our Content Management System (WordPress)
Leverage cross-functional meetings, Collaboration tool (InMotion) and Compliance tracking platform (C-Max) to gain final approval of all materials before bringing the approved materials to life
Leverage data and personalized content to target and schedule emails to appropriate housefile/contact list segments
Work with senior management to develop and implement A/B tests to realize constant KPI improvements
Own QA and usability. Ensure emails, mobile apps and website are functioning properly.
Own documentation, maintenance and communication of the site content delivery schedule; work with team to ensure accuracy.
Juggle multiple projects simultaneously such as calendar-driven, triggered and multi-touch series emails, and updates to existing HTML email creative
Respond quickly to change in project scope or schedules, communicating to stakeholders any impacts to project deliverables, milestone dates and resources
Manage monthly email drop reports that accurately reflect all associated KPIs and A/B test results
Manage housefile growth, making suggestions and implementing plans to ensure new email addresses are constantly added and/or updated to maximize email program reach
Proactively seek opportunities to learn more about business processes and systems. Use knowledge to suggest new ideas and change to improve production efficiencies.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
6-8 years of managing and optimizing email marketing campaigns in an e-Commerce or Demand Generation environment
Skilled in hand coding HTML and inline CSS related to email template design
Strong email, mobile app and web design, and UX fundamentals
Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms (Pardot) and using Content Management Systems (WordPress)
Performance marketing, A/B testing, campaign optimization experience making data-driven decisions and implementing growth strategies in support of Demand Generation objectives
Able to multi-task, juggle and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills; able to communicate professionally and effectively across all levels of the organization from external vendors to senior leadership
Positive self-starter willing and able to take direction and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Detailed with exceptional program and project management skills
General curiosity and excitement to solve problems
Working knowledge of digital marketing reporting and diagnostic tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.), Google Analytics certifications preferred but not mandatory
General knowledge of the financial services and/or asset management industry a plus.
