The Sales & Marketing Database Manager will work with the Sales & Marketing team members in identifying and performing necessary database analysis required to identify trends, target audiences and opportunities to grow our business. Key functions of this role include maintaining the database from a profile standpoint, generating reports from data stored in the various databases, creating target lists for email and direct mail campaigns and working with IT to ensure the integrity of the databases.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for overall strategy and maintenance of the CRM database across functional areas, ie: Marketing, Sales, RediCard, including: Monitoring industry trends and making recommendations, setting rules for additions to central profiles, monitoring daily ‘match pool’ of profiles for potential addition to central member profiles and gather data to complete central profiles, managing de-duping pool quarterly (i.e. guests with multiple stays, etc.). • Gather business-owner-level requirements for enhancements to redroof.com, the CRM database, and sales flow. • Developing strategies for growing the email base. • Serve as Salesforce Administrator for Sales Department. • Identify and deploy business solutions in relationship to DB design and data flow. • Responsible for managing implementation of all system changes, testing and verification. • Develop analytical strategy for all areas in Sales & Marketing to provide insights and drive decisions. • Monitor system error messages and identify issues to escalate. • Campaign tracking and performance analysis (ROI). • Perform data mining and analytical/reporting functions to help management develop segmentation models and improve targeting. • Assist Sales Management in the creation and finalization of quarterly and annual Sales Goals. • Generate ad hoc reports, sales/marketing effectiveness reports of campaigns, analytical reports and develop Excel macros/functions/programs for core projects. • Training as required for internal system users, ie: RediCard agents, sales staff. • Performs other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer sciences, mathematics or equivalent work experience required. • Minimum of 2 years experience in database marketing and/or direct marketing; email marketing. • Experience writing requirements for technical enhancements. • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred. • Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) with a strong emphasis on Excel as well as business intelligence/data mining tools, SQL and report writing. • Experience with property management systems a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. • Must have high attention to detail. • Ability to work in a team environment strongly preferred. • Excellent creative, analytical and math skills preferred. • Experience with direct mail, e-commerce or email marketing strongly preferred. • Less than 5% travel required.
