The Advertising Research Foundation (The ARF) is the only organization that creates and curates objective, original research through education, events, and networking for advertising practitioners. ARF Interns are given a unique opportunity to work very closely with senior staff, something that is not possible in many organizations. Interns are able to hone their project management and organizational skills through a wide variety of tasks. All students will work on business projects suitable for a resume summary.

The ARF is host to many events which interns are often able to attend. Our events are packed with industry leaders, thus creating an excellent networking opportunity for our interns.

 

Membership Services

ARF Membership serves as the central point for critical relationships with senior executives of the ARF’s member companies. ARF members are primarily Fortune 500 leaders in the Marketer, Agency, Media and Research industries who join the ARF in order to access our Knowledge Center, research initiatives, publications, in-house expertise, Forums, and connect with the community of members. The Membership Intern will work closely with the team to ensure that we are delivering maximum value to our 400 corporate members (12,000+ executives).

Primary Responsibilities:

The Membership Services intern will update and maintain members’ contact information in our internal database.

• Assist in outreach to all members to increase engagement – customize communication per category, interest, passion point, supply chain (marketer-agency-media company- research partner).

• Respond to ARF member inquiries that come in via the web.

• Research and compile company information for call and meeting briefs.

• Research and analyze ARF membership and Industry trends.

The ARF will offer you access to high-level management at companies such as Facebook, Google, PepsiCo, Ogilvy & Mather, JWT, Viacom, NBC, ESPN, Hasbro, etc. We strive to be proactive and offer application and process driven solutions across the industry. Members come to us for leadership in best practices and utilize the learning brought through vertical integration and sharing. This work experience will add credibility to a resume and will serve as an entry to many well recognized companies.

• New research initiatives

• Ogilvy Awards

• The JAR publication, etc.

Skills:

• Mastery of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

• Database / Data Entry

• Ability to multitask and prioritize

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work well with a team and independently

• Someone who is interested in learning about (and possibly pursuing a career in) the Advertising or Marketing Industry

• Strong project management and organization skills with a high attention to detail
