Principal Functions

  • Develops, implements, and measures the effectiveness of marketing plans and campaigns to engage members and other audiences.
  • Manages marketing strategies and tactics to promote APTA's programs, products, services, and events, to strengthen APTA's brand, and to reach targeted goals.
  • Demonstrates initiative and is able to work collaboratively to enhance marketing support across the association, and is eager to improve results.
  • Works closely with other departments to develop and monitor promotional plans for products, services, and events.
  • Writes and edits marketing copy for in-house and external ads (print and digital), direct mail campaigns, e-mail campaigns, and newsletters.
  • Analyzes and interprets marketing, sales, and other data to create campaign performance reports and develop future marketing plans.
  • Coordinates the trafficking and production of marketing collateral for Combined Sections Meeting, NEXT Conference & Exposition, Diversity Event, and National Student Conclave.
  • Works closely with others to produce, route, and approve monthly house advertising for PT in Motion magazine.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years' experience in Marketing/Communications
  • Undergraduate degree in English/Communications, Marketing/PR, or equivalent related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Well-developed copy writing, metrics reporting, and data analysis skills
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Strong computer/database experience required
  • Experience with email marketing software required
  • Experience with marketing automation and project management software a plus
