Job Summary

The Director of Production will be responsible for managing all manufacturing operations, streamlining existing processes and improving production work flow in a fast paced growing and diversifying company. Minimum of 7 years Manufacturing/Production management responsibility/experience required. This person will report to the President of the company.

Requirements/Major Responsibilities

Proven track record of management skills, including:

  • Managing production staff
  • Liaise with all stages of production to ensure efficiency
  • Recruiting new employees
  • Establishing team and individual feedback to accomplish goals
  • Direct leadership staff on inventory, production, quality control, packaging, and distribution
  • Identify and support growth opportunities for team members
  • Establish and follow metrics and goals for customization team performance

Proven track record of Manufacturing technical skills, including:

  • Establish and implement production processes and enhancement
  • Keep up-to-date and adaptable to new customization technology
  • Ensure facility and machines are running at their full capacity
  • Ensure use of proper printing techniques for each product
  • Establish and maintain warehouse inventory capacity
  • Implement profitable short-term and long-term programs and processes to optimize work flow
  • Make budgetary decisions on expenditures in alignment with company goals and sales
  • Manage production supply - Ensure production supplies (i.e. ink, boxes, etc…) are adequately available and ordered in a timely manner
  • Quality control
  • Familiar and able to participate in internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
  • Full understanding of and ability to implement the health and safety legal requirements for a production floor
  • Understand technical abilities, capacity plans, tooling needs, automation services, product launch plans, and other issues and create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges
  • Oversee maintenance schedule for all production equipment

  • Knowledge of SAP Business 1

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
