PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven digital marketing leader to join our growing marketing team. The Digital Marketing Director will create a long-term vision for the firm’s digital marketing efforts with a focus on transitioning Marketing to a revenue generating function. This role will oversee the planning, development, and execution of the digital marketing strategy, including all inbound and outbound digital efforts, website, emails, lead generation, SEO, digital advertising, and social media. The ideal candidate has experience developing successful lead generation programs, exhibited a passion for technology and analytics, and demonstrated the ability to think strategically. As our digital marketing subject matter expert and leader, you will raise the bar for excellence and foster a talented team of digital marketing professionals.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create comprehensive digital marketing plan and oversee execution of the plan, leading the digital marketing team.
• Work with marketing and sales leadership to develop a demand creation program strategy that supports demand creation objectives for sourced and influenced pipeline and revenue.
• Implement inbound and outbound campaigns incorporating email marketing, SEO/SEM, social media, display, webcasts, etc. Identify and test new growth opportunities across segments/channels.
• Develop a data-centric approach to measure performance and drive results. Collaborate with data/business intelligence team to develop agreed upon KPIs for programs, create a dashboard, and deliver insights to the broader marketing department and senior management. Ensure that defined metrics will contribute to marketing attribution analysis. Determine forecasts and track performance to deliver on expected outcomes, determine ROI, and prioritize resources. Own and share the analysis and reporting of these efforts.
• Utilize web and email analytics to optimize online marketing efforts.
• Own the client digital journey. Working closely with business intelligence and sales, manage and optimize lead scoring and nurture models that align and perform above benchmarks. Set lead goals, define lead scores, measure and report results, manage SLA.
• Work closely with sales, business intelligence, and marketing colleagues in the planning and execution of demand generation campaigns. Ensure lead targets are met and all campaigns are executed successfully.
• Oversee creation of marketing automation flow and lead nurture processes in Salesforce/Pardot and ensure timely, thorough follow-up and reporting/tracking of leads.
• Constantly test the performance of landing pages, thought leadership and product content, online campaigns, emails, social media, and other digital marketing efforts.
• Develop a client-centric, one-to-one website experience.
• Define the nature of, and desired outcomes from, digital experiences for primary audience categories.
• Collaborate with content team and creative services to create high-quality, best-in-class digital experiences that can contribute to revenue growth and ensure that inbound traffic can be converted into qualified leads.
• Work closely with internal partners to define business requirements for evaluation, acquisition, implementation and integration of digital systems.
• Organize internal stakeholder feedback sessions to improve digital experiences.
• Know the business. Develop a deep understanding of Thornburg’s messaging to amplify the brand and product positioning.
• Mentor and develop digital marketing staff.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum seven years of B-to-B digital marketing experience with a strong focus on analytics, preferably with an asset manager or other financial services organization
• Experience optimizing Web sites for branding and demand creation objectives
• Demonstrated ability to leverage the power of Web technologies in demand creation is essential
• Development of integrated marketing programs that combined inbound and outbound tactics
• Previous experience with A/B and multi-variate testing
• Development of strategic KPIs and comprehensive supporting metrics to guide optimization and report results
• Familiarity and experience with reporting tools and methodologies
• Ability to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Must possess a strong desire to build relationships and work with key members of multiple departments throughout the organization to accomplish common objectives
• Experience managing digital marketing teams
• Expert knowledge of Pardot, WordPress, social media platforms, Google Analytics, SalesForce, SEO strategy, UX Design
• Experience with other marketing and analytic technologies, such as Seismic, component content management systems, and PowerBI a plus
• Excellent analytical and project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
