General Summary

Visit Anaheim’s mission is to develop, market and sell Anaheim/Orange County to benefit the economic vitality of our communities.

To advance initiatives that enhances Anaheim’s competitive position, through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and participation at industry trade and client events.  Serve as a liaison between sales and marketing teams at Visit Anaheim to coordinate and execute events.  Manage and meet budget goals on all programs

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Essential Functions:

  • Excellent creative skills to provide innovative ideas to generate interest and positively position the destination to potential customers
  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients, co-workers and management with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness
  • Extensive computer knowledge, Microsoft Office products and the integration of it with a database. Internet web research, excellent keyboarding and organizational skills. Ability to use functions in database such as merging, making labels, forming statistical reports
  • Highly professional presentation that will well represent the Visit Anaheim both internally and externally, within the business and membership communities
  • Communicate proficiently with sales director/s in a team approach working with accounts and their different size meetings
  • Event planning-logistics, travel- Customer Advisory Board, trade show, travel, tourism & communication fam events, marquis and hosted events, client events. (local and in-markets)
  • Advance initiatives that enhance Anaheim’s competitive position through industry alliances and strategic sponsorships
  • Broaden awareness of our destination hosting industry events
  • Aid in creation of signature events in our destination
  • Develop and manage post event metrics
  • Assist to create and manage strategic timelines.
  • Assist to create sponsorship program opportunities at a variety of levels.
  • Assist to find sponsors to underwrite major portion of event costs.
  • Approach bureau member/partners for cash and in-kind support.
  • Miscellaneous projects-as assigned


  1. Education

    Required:            At least 2-years of college, with related job experiences

    Preferred:           4-year college degree with related job experiences

  2.  Experience

    Required:            Minimum of 3-years of experience in hospitality industry

    Preferred:          5+ years of experience in hospitality industry- with job related experiences.

  3. Abilities

    Required:         Excellent proofreading and editing, organizational, and communication skills, accurate/proficient typing skills, ability to travel domestically and to perform multiple tasks.

    Preferred:          Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, accurate data entry and the ability to perform multiple tasks. Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SimpleView CRM, Ring Central, E-Fax and others as needed.
