The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) is seeking a Marketing Specialist to assist in the planning, implementation, and analysis of ASPPH’s marketing activities. This role will focus on marketing of ASPPH membership and events and promotion of the Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential. This position is based in Washington, DC.

  • Assist with the development and lead the implementation of marketing campaigns to attract new members to the association, grow attendance at signature ASPPH events, and increase number of CPH applicants
  • Develop marketing materials for prospective members and CPH candidates
  • Oversee social media strategy across platforms to increase reach and engagement
  • Develop social media and retargeting advertising as appropriate, tracking conversion and ROI
  • Provide outreach to Continuing Education (CE) providers to add offerings to our recertification database
  • Utilize Google Analytics to assess content success and improve low-performing pages
  • Assist with the strategy development to grow web presence and content across brands, driving traffic to ASPPH websites
  • Coordinate exhibits/booths/presentations for ASPPH and its partner organization, NBPHE
  • Assist with the development of student recruitment materials
  • Assist with triaging responses to social media posts

Applicants should be creative, self-starters who are motivated to meet deadlines independently and keep others on the team aware of project process. The Marketing Specialist is required to have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills, and may perform other tasks in support of the Association as requested.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field, or equivalent experience
    Required Experience:
  • 4-6 years of experience working in a fast-paced marketing and communications role
  • Inbound/content marketing
  • SalesForce or similar CRM
  • Social media management tools, such as Hootsuite or Meet Edgar
  • Google Analytics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and handle multiple projects effectively
    Preferred Experience:
  • Basic graphic design
