Marketing and Communications Manager’s Role

UCP Wheels is looking for an experienced marketing and communications professional to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies in support of the organization’s mission. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop content strategy tied to organization’s goals and key stakeholder audiences.
  • Coach international field offices on PR strategy and coordinate with HQ strategy.
  • Manage all social media channels and campaigns.
  • Manage blog editorials and publishing.
  • Manage website maintenance and upkeep through WordPress.
  • Develop website content, as needed.
  • Drive traffic to UCP Wheels and CLASP websites through SEO, Google Adwords, social media and other advertising and marketing techniques.
  • Track website activity and communications metrics using Google Analytics, social media analytics, and key performance indicators.
  • Manage email lists in MailChimp for both UCP Wheels and CLASP and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Development and Social Enterprises team to support communications.
  • Manage public relations and positioning efforts with media contacts.
  • Create content in house or work with designers to produce Agency collateral materials and meet project deadlines.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications preferably with a nonprofit or social enterprise organization focused on promoting products or services to a wide range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Impeccable English writing skills for both formal voice to academic audiences and casual voice for normal social media audiences.
  • Proficiency with WordPress
  • Proficiency with MailChimp
  • Basic photo editing and video editing
  • Measuring and testing marketing results through analytics
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Managed online communities across multiple social media platforms.
  • Developed strategies for social media influence campaigns across various topics.
  • Working knowledge of current SEO strategies.
  • Strong track record growing and managing external relations tools including website management and content management systems, blogs and social media platforms.
  • Background and training in inbound marketing and lead generation techniques.
  • Management experience of technical contractors (web development, graphic designer, social media strategists, publicists, film production).
  • Management experience of staff and consultants in remote offices (international).
  • Familiarity with foreign markets, preferred.
